Timelapse of Elmore Bridge Construction!

Posted by Griffin Ball on Jul 31, 2020 11:00:00 AM

This bridge is open!

Elmore, OH has always been a high traffic area, but when our bridge was scheduled to be replaced, that meant no one could cross the Portage river (near Elmore) for the past several months. Well last week, it finally re-opened and now Matt can have his, much shorter, commute back! (But seriously, he had almost a 15 minute drive before and now he can pretty much walk to work again.)

Even still, we've been anxiously waiting this day and have been capturing images of the progress during construction. We've compiled a fun time-lapse to show off the great work ODOT and Kokosing have done.

There is still a bit left to do on the bridge before it is considered complete, but it is open for public traffic and Matt is at peace again...

Planning for the Remote Workforce

Posted by Matt Almendinger on Mar 13, 2020 11:10:38 AM

With all the news and information surrounding “social distancing” to slow the spread of COVID-19, we are receiving lots of questions about how to prepare businesses for embracing the remote workforce. Before the actual deployment of remote services, it is a good idea to review your work processes to make sure that they can be remotely performed.

Don’t get stuck on the “how” for remote access

There are many ways to enable remote work capability. If you are working with a knowledgeable IT service provider, the “how” is determined after the what needs to be remotely accessed. Being able to describe the work process simply, will allow your service provider to determine the best course of action. Which leads us right into…

A Lesson in Shattering Expectations

Posted by Matt Almendinger on Jul 6, 2018 9:19:00 AM

A Reminder for All of Us OF True Competition

More than a 100 teams traveled from 30 states, bringing with them more than 2400 athletes and 350 coaches to Toledo this past week as the YMCA hosted its 53rd National Gymnastics Championships in the Glass City. The theme, Shattering Expectations, was not only appropriate for these young gymnasts, but also for our rust-belt community as  both were eager to combat the status quo.

For the gymnasts, it was moment to shine and show their peers across the nation of their capability. For Toledo, it was an opportunity to shrug off a stereotype that our city has seen its best. And for Lighthouse, it was an opportunity to step up and support the community that supports us, having the opportunity of being one of several sponsors to help such an incredible event take place.
